DARIAN MENSAH SCHOLARSHIP

Darian, born and raised in San Luis Obispo, first met Coach Joe through JPRO Athletic Development. That bond grew quickly after learning they had similar backgrounds. Both were raised by single parents who worked hard and struggled to provide for their family. Both understand what it feels like to have big dreams while coming from circumstances that can make those dreams feel out of reach.

 

At JPRO Athletic Development, we believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to train, grow, and reach their full potential — regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

Through a generous donation from Darian Mensah, JPRO Athletic Development is proud to provide athletic training to young athletes from low-income families on the central coast. Darian is working closely with Coach Joe to help make this vision a reality. Together, we are committed to removing financial barriers that can prevent young athletes from accessing high-quality training and the positive mentorship that comes with it.

This scholarship is about more than athletic development. It's about giving kids the opportunity to build confidence, discipline, work ethic, and resilience while becoming the best version of themselves — both on and off the field.

Our goal is simple: give more kids the opportunity to train, believe in themselves, and pursue their dreams.
